I'm going to share a clip which I was a participant.  I was doing a mock checkride with my instructor doing stalls.  We were going to initiate a 3rd stall when I suddenly lost my COMM1/NAV1 radio.  The audio is poor because we were on 1 radio.  My instructor was doing radios and I was flying the aircraft.

At least it happened when my instructor was in the plane.

They offered "assistance" but we declined.  The engine was still running, the aircraft was still flyable.  We just had no alternator and were running the necessary equipment off of the battery.  When we were offered a runway choice, we took the wind going straight down the runway as opposed to a direct approach with an 80 degree crosswind.

This was my second unusual cockpit situation since I've been training.  My first one was in a CJ where I was riding right seat as an observer.  Had a master caution just short of V1 and aborted takeoff.  Second attempt was a master caution at V1 and we did a fuel burn flight and landed due to a pressurization problem.  Cabin door seal failed to inflate.

I feel that both of the situations were learning experiences and will help me be a better pilot.

I am fairly certain that this will come up on my checkride Friday in some form.
