AAL 329 busted engine
« on: May 07, 2010, 10:53:33 PM »
AMERICAN FLIGHT 329, A MD-80 AIRCRAFT, REPORTED ENGINE PROBLEM AFTER
TAKE-OFF FROM LA GUARDIA (LGA) AIRPORT; DIVERTED TO NEWARK LIBERTY (EWR)
AIRPORT; LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT; A PERSON ON THE GROUND WAS STRUCK
BY FALLING ENGINE PARTS; MINOR INJURIES; NEW YORK CITY,

From FAA incident report on 5/05/10.

KEWR feeds were down at the time, but got this from KLGA on his departure prior to the engine failure during climbout. (As in, coming apart?).
