Airforce One checking in with NORCAL TRACON on 134.50 (Niles Sector), followed by a hand off to NORCAL Approach on 120.35 (Foster Sector), with a final hand off to San Francisco tower on 120.50

Thanks for posting.  I saw the TFR and suspected such.  Good thing I didn't have a flight lesson on Thurs/Fri. 

Just out of curiosity, anyone know why does AF1 announce gear down?  Is that the time when movement on the airport needs to stop, not counting those coast guard helicopters?

nah...its a military thing..

and movement stops way before AF1 gets to that point.  as you said...the only thing is going to be a heli or two flying around doing security checks
