Almost saw two planes land on eachother Sunday morning

I was at Gillespie field (KSEE) last Sunday, watching the goings on.  I was sitting in my truck, with the scanner.  I heard the tower clear two plans to land on Runway 27L, one a normal approach, and one a short approach.  Long story short, the one Cesna nearly landed on the other Cesna, but the controller called a go around for the higher aircraft.  Wish I'd be recording, it was interesting.
