American 1320 Bird Strike at JFK
« on: March 17, 2015, 01:46:51 PM »
AAL1320 experienced a bird strike on take off from JFK this morning.  Emergency was declared on Departure frequency and the flight returned to JFK and landed safely.  I've edited together LiveATC archive audio from Tower and Departure frequency and removed some silence.  This clip covers the take-off clearance through the landing clearance.  I've left in other air traffic because you can hear lots of warnings being given to other flights about flocks of geese in the area.

Edit: I'm having technical difficulties attaching the file.  Every time I try to attach it and submit, the forum loads a page that says my session timed out.  Here's a link to the mp3 file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_rqLa0q8grvNmp3cmhRWWVRVkE/view?usp=sharing  Maybe one of the mods can help get it attached?
