Angry pilot blames on LAX and gets angry...
« on: March 31, 2016, 08:22:26 AM »
I just received this audio from one of my Youtube followers. I heard it and I couldn't stop laughing...

It is from September, 2015. I looked for it in the forum and didn't find it so here it is.

That's fantastic.

ATC: I have a phone number for you to call if you're ready to copy.

Pilot: I know the number.

I guess he's had to call it a few times already.

Someone please keep this guy on the ground. It's a miracle his big head can fit into a C152.

He has that "born obnoxious" style... it's probably the same thing in every grocery store checkout line, interaction with a neighbor, you name it. Like a human porcupine. But FAA is only going to have limited patience with it.

OK, that is one of the funniest things I've heard in a very long time. And annoying, of course.  But funny.

An interesting clip 'yes' but I feel a little uneasy at the idea of his attitude being considered amusing.

Well, Geoff... none of us know the context of the situation so we can only judge the audio itself.

And the audio, from zero to the end is funny. Maybe the pilot was right and the ATC ignored him... Anyways, I'm sure that phone call solved everything.

Regardless, that's not the way you handle it by the pilot. You make the call after the flight and complain. You don't do it on frequency.

Yep, absolutely agree Isaac!

That's what makes this funny and that other pilot saying "Good luck buddy"

Looks like a troll :-D

This is awesome!!!!  Like everyone here has said we obviously don't know the situation, but I can say from experience just because there is no chatter going on doesn't mean the controller isn't busy. There are times where a controller is busier talking to other controllers on the line or near by doing coordination or what have you. There are times that if I get a VFR callup it could easily be a minute or two before I can get to them.
Whatever the situation this is pretty entertaining to say the least.

Listen Mr. Tower Controller, me and my little plane want to fly right through your approach/departure corridor and screw everything up for everyone....why aren't you paying attention to me over that A380?  Don't you know I'm a VIP?  Maybe I don't use the proper radio etiquette and take up valuable time when somebody might really need to talk to you but you ignored me first so  :-P.  I serious lee hope he called and tried to complain after so they could get all his info and send a person from the FAA to have a nice long chat with him before they suspended his license.  It was almost as hard as listening to the Sun 'n Fun VFR arrivals going on this week.  I may even monitor that feed for the purpose of "constructive criticism" and start adding those to this forum.

Is earlier audio available? Would be interesting to hear the context if we rewind the tapes a bit.

Criticizing a controller on frequency is not a smart idea. If anything, a "mark the tape" call usually gets the point across. Figure the rest out later.

IF its a safety-of-flight issue they pilot probably should contact the controller on guard frequency and/or declare an emergency. Getting upset with the controller doesn't help things.
