Here's the clip (cropped):

JetBlue 20 is the culprut, but if you listen carefully, it's a confusing instruction.

JetBlue starts at ZA and cleared right C, 13L, D, right B to the ramp (WA). Jet Blue's callback is C, 13L, D.  (If you look at the charts, that doesn't make sense)

ATC then gives him E B to the ramp to confuse things even more....piolt must have thought he was cleared into D, however, he was asked to hold at B @ D when Both JB20 and JB1061 didn't have a gate.

Piolt was in error to simply enter D....his inital entry was WA, and he was to hold short of D. I'm guessing JB1061 was still on Delta waiting for a gate.

man, intense hey! great find, where did you find the clip and was there anymore to it than that. would be interesting to see what happened cause, yer, im a little confused...  he gave him taxiway DELTA - to the ramp, then said he could take left ECHO, RIGHT BRAVO if he wanted to....  "because that would work too" if he liked.  I would not have taken that as i have just changed your taxi clearance cause this one might be better. Are we missing something here?

Not quite, his initial entry call is WA (next taxi-way down)....ground will expect you to go there.....it appears he entered in on his own at Delta when his gate became available. (He was holding on Bravo short of Delta waiting for a gate)

The Second instruction given was just another way to get on Bravo.

His first call-back was incorrect and should maybe have been corrected (should have been Delta, right Bravo to ramp)....but he WAS expected to go to WA.

Definate Neah-Neah.

P.S Clip is JFK Ground, 12:00Z (end) and 12:30Z (beginning)

i think that maybe the controller got up set, cause he did everything right, onl when JB20 called him up, the controller told him to hold, at that point he wAs not on DELTA, if you listen you hear him say, "WHO IS THE JB THAT IS GOING INTO DELTA RIGHT NOW?" JB020 was taxiing into delta,. He was told to hold position at BRAVO SHORT OF DELTA. he took it apon himself maybe getting other instructions elseware, but to continue onto DELTA, he was never told to taxi onto delta (by GND) at that point, he was told to hold, being at BRAVO SHORT OF DELTA

Yep, that's what I hear, too.  The last instruction to JetBlue 20 was to hold short.

"No, you can't TRY to let me know. When you get into the ramp, call 718..." Heh heh, in for a thorough scolding that can't clog up ATC radio..... Sheesh, reminds me of my dad...

Also, since when was "Mr. JetBlue" an appropriate identification for a flight?  :-P
