I heard this over my own handheld and came back to this site to download the archived ATC.  After a little time editing, here's the finished product.

Bush was campaigning in Derry, NH and flew through Manchester, NH (KMHT) so I drove up to watch it takeoff.  Also see the transcription I made (as some of the words are hard to discern)  .doc format.

Transcript: http://www.geocities.com/jestryba/air_force_one_transcript.doc

First you hear Air Force One calling approach to land, then some ground communication, followed by takeoff ATC direct to Pease.  I've also included the chase aircraft (nighthawks) communications with MHT tower.

Enjoy this. and don't forget to download the word document transcript linked above.

~Dan

Nice clip, the transcript was very helpful.  I'm sure it's a nuisance for the airliners operating in the area but you have to admit, it's kind of cool.  Were they in the B742 that day or some other aircraft?

Yeah, the 747 converted to VC-25, I forget which tail number it was, 28000 or 29000.  Took a couple pictures:

Air Force on is occasionaly seen doing touch n go's here at my local airport KILG. Of course, its not AF1 when the Prez isnt aboard, and you can get pretty close...

i have a DVD about the Secret Service and the preperations they make while the Presidents little plane is on the ground somwhere....and beleive me, as close as our friend above is to the jet, he is in "the bubble."....they know he's there  8)

Wasn't close for long, they made me leave.  They're pretty good at keeping it secure.  I got the takeoff/climb photo from an adjacent parking lot as it over-flew.  It was very serene looking.

i did, but you have to log in to see them in my earlier post (above).  It's got a power line running through the middle of the picture though; so much for good timing.

They are really good photos, Dan. I'm sure the power lines can be Photoshopped out. What kind of camera did you use?

It's amazing what you can do with PhotoShop. Of course, I know nothing about the program, but I've seen A LOT of "photoshop'd" pictures.

Here's the link to the VATSIM website. The page has screenshots of Flight Simulator 2002 and 2004. It consists of unedited and edited pictures (I'm assuming that the term "edited" might be equivalent to "photoshop'd".
