DAL702 at KDEN 10-02-15 Smoke from Gear
« on: October 07, 2015, 08:41:15 PM »
DAL702 was just beginning his takeoff roll when the Southwest aircraft following him onto the runway reported smoke from the gear.  DAL702 aborted the takeoff at low speed and stopped on the runway where it was attended to by emergency services.  There was a brake problem as well as a hydraulic leak which caused the smoke.

Denver Airport  channels are somewhat confused.  LiveATC refers to freq. 124.3 as a tower frequency but in the actual recordings tower refers to it as a ground channel.  Because of the number of channels covered on the feed the clip is somewhat choppy as some transmissions are missed.  I have also included a separate clip of the operations and public safety response to the incident as these channels are also archived here.
