E-6B over Denver

This flight made the news as many people saw it circling over Denver

As usual with the E-6s, the ADS-B callsign was not the actual ATC callsign
Comms are from the ZDV Denver Center (High North) 1730z and 1930z archive files from the 16th.

Great catch!

So finally, what's the callsign? Those two webs talk about IRON99 but it doesn't sound a bit for me. I hear something like "Tallo 91" :? :?

These military/rare audios got me crazy and amazed at once! :lol: :lol:

Is this particular aircraft capable to refuel others?

I know those holding patterns that high and that long are usually used by tankers and receivers to practice AAR but... could that be possible with this E6B?

ATC callsign does sound like "Tyler 91"
The E-6 cannot refuel others but it can be air refueled
There was no mention of refueling being done and no tankers were heard during that time.  Trailing wire ops are done over the water and they were possibly doing that NW of San Francisco earlier in the flight.  They may have held  for 2 hours in the Denver area in order to remain in range of one of the radio sites they use for strategic communications.
