EGF 4438 Bleed Issues
« on: February 14, 2013, 01:42:33 PM »
EGF4438 departed ORD for CYUL and experienced some high temperature warnings. This clip is their conversation with dispatch and on-call mechanic as they decide whether to return to Chicago or continue on.

There are no ATC coms, but you may find it an interesting listen anyway.

This was an interesting clip. If you don't mind me asking, where are you able to listen to AIRINC audio? I'm assuming that's what this is. I'm in dispatcher school right now and I'd like to listen to some interactions between flight crews and the SOC/ dispatchers. Thanks!

This is a great peice of audio providing an excelent insight to operations of Airlines, and the interaction of maitance and aircrew.
The Company Frequiencies make great listening and often gems like this one are heard,
in addition to the raft of PAX issues.  As well as ACARS and HFDL, all put together the average
listener these days has a real window in to the mind of crew and operators alike.  We live in
fantastic times where I can hear this exchange in Australia some time after the event.
Good Audio clip, thanks for providing it! Oh and the pilot and engineer sound cool, in command and professional.

BTW, I'm fairly certain though that the above audio clip didn't come from an ARINC feed.  They were talking on a airline company frequency which is not the same as ARINC.  I'm just not sure what feed that audio clip came from.

Ron, the link he gave is for the JFK company channels, not ARINC.

The ARINC link is: http://www.liveatc.net/flisten.php?mount=kjfk_arinc&icao=kjfk

That's correct. The clip came from the KGRR feed which, besides the ATC frequencies, also monitors the operations freq for CHQ/EGF/FFT here at GRR. That was what the pilot used to contact their company.

Thanks,
Craig
