Floatplane crash at Lakehood Alaska

A Cessna 185 floatplane, N1758R, crashed just after take-off. No one hurt, but the Tower missed the blocked emergency call as well as the actual impact. Note the audio at about midpoint - that is the a/c with 'stuck mike hitting the water, along with the pax comment about his dog.

If you want to hear the real-time scenario during this, go to the Archives, click 9/8/07, click PALH, click 0030=0100Z. Actually hilarious how the tower opr didn't seem to know what was going on!
