Who says it right Hawaiian pilot or controller? When the controller said air barge I almost spit my coffee out. I thought it was funny!

 Nice catch!.  There are many ATC that say hello/goodbye  and wish holiday greetings to some foreign carriers in their native language at LAX......but I haven't heard it in Hawaiian!   Nice!

Was that Delta flight following an A380?  That is kind of a  funny nickname if it was. " Air Barge"

I never heard them say "super". Qantas is the only 380 operator at Lax... It wasn't quantas... I am not sure what it was.. Thanks, I thought it was unique also.

I've heard "Air Barge" before, usually when referring to an Airbus freighter, FedEx usually. The operate the A310 and A300 at KLAX.

Airbarge...Airbus... cheesy

The only airplane currently designated a "Super" is the A380.

That's pretty funny. First time I heard ATC say Merry Christmas in Hawaiian. They just need to work on the pidgin accent a little.  grin

Thats what I thought. FDX Airbus... They land on the south complex..

Hey CL, since I got you to say the "Mele-Kaliki-Maka" for Christmas, we're going to have to work on your "Allloooooooooohhhhhaaaaaaaaa" for all the rest of the Hawaii flights. haha
