My husband, and Air Canada pilot, was flying out of YOW last Thanksgiving (Oct 8, 2007) when his Airbus hit a flock of geese.  This would have been about 6pm on that day.  I don't have the flight number (sorry).  If anyone happens to have this audio clip it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

There are two ways to retrieve a clip on LiveATC, assuming the frequency where the exchange occurred is even in the list of LiveATC feeds and the feed was up at the time of the exchange.   The first method is from the archive files, which only keeps a rolling 30 days of history.  In other words, archive files older than 30 days are removed in order to make room for the new archive files.  Feed archives from October 8th, 2007 were deleted from the archives sometime the first week of November 2007.

The second method is that if someone here converted the archive file to an audio clip that was posted to this Audio Clip forum here.  Again, this would have had to be performed within the 30 day window but these files are preserved indefinitely.   As someone who has been on this board for a little over three years now, I do not recall ever seeing a posting in this forum containing an exchange of a goose hit.  That would have been an interesting event.  Apologies that there isn't better news in your quest to locate the clip.

Thanks for the info...I'm not hopeful that somebody would have saved it but it was worth a shot.  smiley

For some reason the YOW feed is not archived. I wanted to get my first ATC transmission a while back and was told it was impossible since they aren't archived.
