Passenger made threatening remarks

Two fighter jets intercepted a Hawaii-bound airliner after a passenger refused to hand over his carry-on bag and passed a "disturbing note," officials said.

The F-15 fighter jets become a federal asset once alerted, placing them under presidential authority.

Another Hawaiian Airlines flight had issues with an unruly passenger on Jan 8, 2010, resulting in a diversion:

"A Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-300, flight HA-17 from Las Vegas,NV to Honolulu,HI (USA), diverted to Los Angeles due to an unruly passenger on board. The airplane landed safely, a male and a female passenger were questioned by police, the male was taken into custody.

The airplane reached Honolulu with a delay of 3 hours as a result.

The TSA reported, that the male and the female became involved in a "situation".

Hawaiian Airlines reported, that the female passenger was harrassed by the male.

The male was later released because the female didn't want to file charges."

I can't answer that other than to say that those transmissions weren't on the feed that I edited.
