ILS HKS in VFR conditions - Landing KMBO with ATC and intercom COMS - Video

1 1/4 hour flight compressed to 11 minutes (15 minutes of actual flight time edited out for video brevity sake).

First time shooting any type of an approach in a Cessna, so figure to break myself in under VMC with other pilots in the plane with me..

Video includes takeoff, Outside view of ILS over at Jackson Hawkins, On air banter with HKS tower about a dog and landing at KMBO.  I also verbalized some of my decision making process in the video

I had a couple of pilots come with me to get up to speed on the king radio stack so I can be proficient for my next run of approaches of which I hope to do in actual conditions in the near future.

KJAN approach and KHKS tower in video.

Nicely done sir, though I must confess I spent some of the time imagining taking a screw driver to that screw in the foreground.

Call that a test of distraction  :-D

Seriously though, the catch the screw is suppose to latch onto doesn't work but during my preflight you can bet I pull, push and ensure the cowling cover is on nice and tight.

Thanks Dave for the very kind compliments.
