Jetblue 5103 Engine Vibration from lost cowl, returns to JFK

Saw this on Avherald (http://avherald.com/h?article=42569d05&opt=1) this morning and then went in search of the recordings.  I'm attaching two recordings.  The first is the tower recording from departure and then on through to their return to JFK.  An aircraft departing a few departures after JBU5103 reports the FOD on the runway.  Then the closure of the airport as they have no other runways open at the time while they send a vehicle out to inspect the runway and finding the debris, and then finally reopen and the arrival of JBU5103.  it's interesting because after JBU5103 departs, a few other aircraft depart before the FOD is finally reported.  Then it sounds like another JBU jet holding thinks the FOD could have hit a different aircraft after 5103.

Then on the second file is the departure/approach on 125.7 and he gets a quick hand-off to NY approach on 120.85 which does not appear to be monitored here.  But, i kept listening and caught the return trip back and ILS.

"A Jetblue Embraer ERJ-190, flight B6-5103 from New York JFK,NY to Nashville,TN (USA), had departed runway 31R and was climbing through 15000 feet about 8 minutes into the flight, when the crew reported engine vibrations, levelled off at 17000 feet and decided to return to JFK. While descending through 5000 feet for 4000 feet approach reported, that debris had been found about half way down runway 31R, probably parts of Jetblue's engine, runway 31L was not available "except for a real short field landing" due to work in progress on the runway and the 22s were not available due to crosswind, zero runways available. Another United Airlines had to also abort the approach and enter a holding as a result. While waiting for the approach Jetblue reported, they were building up some ice, requested lower and were cleared to 3000 feet. About 5 minutes later Jetblue was cleared for the ILS approach and landed safely on runway 31R about 30 minutes after reporting the engine trouble.

The flight was cancelled.

The FAA reported, that an inspection showed the engine cowling was missing."
