Reference: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/pilot-suffers-heart-attack-flight-dies-plane-diverted-officials-article-1.1469505

The article here mentioned that the pilot suffered a heart attack and unfortunately, did not make it.

Not to be morbid, the article does mention that audio was "released by LiveATC" (I believe they found the time that the flight was en route, probably from FlightAware, went through the archives, and pulled it themselves).. Did anyone catch this or offered an edited version? I ask because it's fascinating to see how controllers handled this situation.

whoever the pilot was with this, RIP.

This is all we have.  No Center comms, which is where the incident likely originated.

RIP.

And Fox News got your site wrong.  They put ATCLIVE.NET at the bottom of the transcript instead of LiveATC.net.  Just FYI if you have their email or phone number.

Dave, I would check any 129.4 SFO ARINC archives out that way, perhaps even the HF LDOC feed for MedLink patches re this incident, though it is likely the co/remaining pilot knew exactly what was going on and decided immediately to hit the dirt without consulting anybody but ATC.

LiveATC.net was credited for the audio.

Heard this unfortunate news on ABC National News this morning.
