This is another recording I had, similar to the one I uploaded in my last post. I cut out a 30min space where I wasn't able to record the audio. Its a 4 hr recording. The recording begins with UAL823 airborne talking to DC Center, and follows the flight through Atlanta, Houston, Monterrey, and Mexico Centers.

Interesting Bits that you don't usually hear on liveatc feeds:

- Holds, speed restrictions and just general busyness in Atlanta sectors.
- 0:54:23 Frequency change from Atlanta to Houston Center.

- 1:44:05, 1:44:27 Center issues a "weather advisory"
- 1:54:14 Over the Gulf of Mexico, frequency change to a mixed radar/non-radar Houston center sector. Fun to listen to the different procedures, position reports, radar service termination, handoffs to Merida & Monterrey Centers etc...
- 2:30:50 Initial Contact with Monterrey.
- 3:09:23 Frequency change to Mexico Center. Again, interesting to listen to, as there isn't any liveatc coverage of it.
- 3:37:06 Amusing exchange between controller and Air France flight.

Enjoy.

Wow - I love the idea of this too, that you can track a flight through ATC. Great work!

Thanks a lot for the upload. Good be able to hear the ATC from initial cruise till landing.

What date was this flight by the way? Just curious, is United the only airline that have this ATC audio feature for passengers? Is it offered on all of its cabin classes?

Yes, United is the only carrier that I know of that has this feature, and it's only on main-line United, United Express carriers (Mesa, SkyWest, Shuttle America, and Trans States) do not have this feature. It is referred to as "Channel 9, From The Flight Deck", and it is available throughout the aircraft.

I wish more airlines had this feature!  cool
