"Air traffic controllers at nearby Canadian Forces Base Bagotville were in contact with the pilot and co-pilot between 10:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

"Everything was normal. They said they had the intention to land at St. Honore and we patch them through to the air traffic controllers at the airport," said spokesman Lt. Alexandre Munoz.

But the plane — a twin-engined Beechcraft King Air 100 that can carry up to eight passengers — never landed at the airport.

Canadian Forces Base Trenton received a signal from an emergency transmitter located on the plane at 10:50 p.m. and contacted Bagotville. Air traffic controllers there said they had not yet received a landing confirmation from the aircraft."

There are no feeds from any of these locations.
