Uploaded from the LiveATC archive; a jet undergoing a maintenance test (high speed taxi on 19L) ran off the runway at the end and became stuck in a ditch.  Local newspaper coverage: http://www.kansascity.com/news/local/article737889.html

(This is the full clip; the actual event occurs around 19 minutes into the recording)

This needs some editing.  Couldn't hear a thing.

I've cut out the silence and unrelated frequencies (I left the approach frequency towards the end of the clip in there, as they were discussing the situation). Unfortunately you can only hear the tower and airborne aircraft, and not the transmissions from the accident aircraft.

Thanks for the edit (I wasn't sure how much/if it should be edited, and stupidly I opted for the whole thing).  Yeah, likely because they were on the ground the whole time, you get one half of the conversation.

Here I was hoping for a glib remark about "breaking action nil on runway 19L" somewhere in there. grin
