Last communication from old KLGA Tower (USA1632)
« on: October 13, 2010, 04:15:39 AM »
USA1632 (Cactus 1632) talking to LGA Tower on October 10, 2010 around 11:30pm EDT (October 11, 2010 0330Z)

Last pilot to talk to the old tower prior to switching to the new tower.  Can't wait to see the new tower in person.

Awesome clip!!  The new tower should be great, though the style of the old tower will surely be missed.  The last time I visited (the old tower), the DBRITE display was hanging from a 2x4 which was bolted to the ceiling.  Needless to say it didn't look too pretty.  The new equipment will definitely be a nice change.

Saw that in a documentary on tv a few years ago, was about time to have a new tower, they (controllers) where complaining for 15..... FIFTEEN years allready...

If there is a LGA controller reading this.... is there a change that it would be possible now to send in a foreign flight...... with tail????????

If this is the most ugly tower in the States, then LGA will be engulfed by Korean toerists in no time...
