Delta 1907 lost an engine shortly after departure from Rochester, just after 1900Z on 10/11/09. Job very well done by pilots and controller.

Handled very professionally.  A very nice job by both pilots and controllers!

"The airport reported, that the airplane struck a flock of seagulls shortly after liftoff causing the engine failure."

Glad the gulls only brought down one engine as opposed to both! We all know what a flock of geese would do.
