In case we forgot what he sounds like. He's working BOS Delivery today, 5/20/08. I caught this at around 1400Z.

Excellent.  I fly out of here at 410pm (I'll be COM57 if anyone catches me on the feed).  Hopefully he'll be working still.

:-D that was some classic John. I have only heard him on tower before on liveatc.net, clearance is like a whole different standup comedy routine for him. Luv it

I'm actually going to be flying into BOS tomorrow (Tuesday) evening from CVG on one of our newer CRJ900s as COM40, scheduled to land at 717pm and departing Wednesday morning on a -900 back to CVG as COM677 at 740am.  Not sure which flight I'll be on the radios in the air, but on the ground it'll definitely be me talking.  Hopefully I'll get to work with the infamous "Boston John" on one of these.  I'll try to give you guys a shoutout.

Get real.  ATC freqs are not a playground for some LiveATC listeners' amusement.   Based on my impression of the professional controllers and pilots who participate on these boards, none including myself would ever stoop to that level.

Precisely why I dont post much anymore. I usually sit back and try to add an opinion where I can or ask a question where I dont understand something. To clarify, I was joking, hence the smiley. Ive never disrespected you in this forum by telling you to get real. Im sorry I insulted your profession with my attempt at humor.

Ok, so I misinterpreted the intent of your post - my apologies.   There was a thread here last year where people were seriously asking for pilots or controllers to "shout out" to LiveATC and I sincerely mistook your post as an extension of that thread.

In the end, my post was my mistaken attempt to keep this board semi-respectable among the pilot and controller community, both of whom offer valuable information in support of this site's community.  If this board were to truly degrade into a TMZ-style fan-boy site (and I have heard some rumblings of that among a couple of local controllers, at least at my airport), bank on a sharp reduction in participation from those who have the inside information the hobbyists here enjoy.   It happened recently in the newsgroup rec.aviation.piloting, which was once a pilot's gold mine of working aviation knowledge.

No problem on the mistake. Just know I really enjoy the content you controllers and pilots bring to this site every day. Hope you all have a safe day.

Can anyone please tell me what Boston John's expression "mocha jagadi" (and I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) means?

It is Cape Air's slogan.  It is actually pretty clever and a good rule to live by:
Making
Our
Customers
Happy
And
Having
A
Good
Time
Doing
It
or, as is more popular, Mocha Hagtdi
