I can't believe the controller was letting an aircraft land (short final) on 34 as 210KW was trying to reach 16.

Might I point out, he has radar telling him where 210KW is and most likely he was pretty far out relative to the plane he was letting land.

Can't believe you would make such a foolish accusation.  The landing aircraft was on short final already.  The emergency aircraft was nowhere close.

He was close. I believe the controller was under the impression the emergency aircraft intended to land on the active (34).

Obviously no close enough for the landing traffic to be a problem.  I think I trust the radar equipped controller's judgement as to what is safe and what isn't safe in their airspace at their airport over someone making a blind and uneducated accusation on the internet.
