I don't get this part?

"Tower mayday mayday mayday we got an emergency, engine out on the field."

I guess the engine is out because the prop blades are hitting the ground?

I have one question that any friend can offer me a hand. In China,we always control A/C in Chinese,so English is just used for foreign crews. Hi, i am from New Delhi, India. It is a difficult task doing ATC in two languages. it is amazing how u people do it.
