Memories of foggy nights of 1970’s Aircraft Diverting from London Heathrow to Birmingham
Tridents, Viscounts, Vanguards, BAC 1-11 VC-10 B727 etc

Recorded using a hand mic a radio with no squelch control and plenty of TV interference smiley Those were the days..

Hope you enjoy

I have lots of old ATC recordings from the 1970 & 80s of Birmingham & trips I made to London Heathrow.
just converting a Heathrow tape dated 24/08/75 with lots of nice old engine noses in the back ground. I try and upload later today.

It's really easy to do - All you need is a tape player and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable to connect the tape player to the Mic or Line In socket on your sound card - Then hit record in Audacity, hit play on the tape recorder and it's done!

If you feel like giving it a try, please feel free to PM me and I'll happily talk you through it.

It really is that straightforward - It's exactly what I do with my laptop for posting the Edinburgh clips - Except replacing the tape player with a scanner, obviously. As I say if you need any help, PM me and I'll help you out any way I can!
