The best listening this weekend is definitely the Oshkosh (KOSH) feed for the EAA's annual fly-in. For one week every year this is the world's busiest airport. Sunday should provide *EXCELLENT* listening. Note that ATC communications are generally one-way: controllers instruct pilots what to do and pilots acknowledge instructions by rocking wings. There are two tower frequencies (118.5 north and 126.6 south); the better one for listening will depend on the wind. Since the Sunday winds are forecasted for most of the day to be straight out of the west, 126.6 should get very busy - especially in the afternoon. The field is closed to both arriving and departing aircraft at night.

To help understand what's going on -- especially the dots on the runways -- here's a link to the NOTAM: http://www.airventure.org/2008/flying/2008_notam.pdf

Happy listening!   :-)

UPDATE: it's only 7:45 Sunday morning, but the KOSH2 feed (126.6) is already getting active: http://d.liveatc.net/kosh2.m3u
