Request: Bad Day at JFK Ground

This controller had a long history aside from any YouTube videos...

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. Personally, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of the R/T with him in the cab

Apart from all his history. the most important thing was that he got the job done effectively. Whenever JFK was in a emss- and he came on the frequency, he always solved the problems. I can't think of any of the other controllers there that would have done what he did.

I've said it in other threads but I'll say it again,  this controller is the man.  He works at Islip (long island) now where I fly into regularly and I love when he's working because he is so entertaining.  I've wondered why he had left JFK but now I know.  I am curious why the FAA took action against him.  Even though things got hectic and he may not consistently use proper phraseology, he seemed to have gotten the job done with minimal delay and certainly nothing unsafe.  Can anyone, maybe fluglotse, elaborate on that...

Is he just as funny as when he ws at JFk

If he got fired for this then something is majorly wrong. He was stressed and def sounded like it, but who wouldn't be with the mass of planes he had to control. He made mistakes - it happens when there is a 1hr wait to taxi to the runway. I know I couldn't keep track of all the planes. Hopefully for him the less stress at ISlip will make up for the pay cut.

I think the guy did OK and he sounds like he was from Boston! Typical in trying to rid the tower with LESS experienced,lower paid employees....
Unless you're and ATC, then we have nothing to complain about......
