Ryanair's Chief Pilot told The Aviation Herald: "The aircraft was at FL260 and encountering icing at this level. Crew asked ATC for an early descent to avoid further icing. As the aircraft began the descent they encountered light vibration on both engines with increasing oil temperatuarere. The Captain declared a PAN PAN call with Scottish ATC and asked for a priority landing at Dublin. Although the crew had only declared a PAN, Scottish ATC instructed the crew to squawk 7700.
