Skybus Last Flights
« on: April 05, 2008, 10:57:49 AM »
April 4th was the last flights for Skybus. The airline struggled with the fuel cost. A shame to see them go. Short lived. Heres the audio for the last flights into Greensboro. I flew them and they were a very nice and friendly airline.

1st is Skybus 367 from Chicago/Gary
2nd Skybus 308 from Portsmouth, NH
3rd Skybus 312 from Punta Gorda

Also a picture of all the planes at GSO on April 5th after shut down.

Man,that was hard to listen to,my heart goes out to all the crews, not only skybus but all the other crews that are gone as well.

Hope ye all get back up into the big blue sky where ye belong soon.

As the controller said it is always the little people that suffer.

You should upload this to YouTube. For some reason I can listen to the audio file. I downloaded it but I got an error.

I'm had trouble with the file too, in i tunes.  When I tried WMP, it said invalid file extension so just check the file type.  Plays after changing it to proper .mp3

Sad clip, btw.  Thanks for posting

This was certainly sad.. For those who cant open it, try opening it in Gold Wave, that worked for me.

The second pilot almost sounded choked up. The 3rd pilot summed it up. "I get $250 a week in unemployment so thats what I have to look forward to."

Memorable clips. It's sad to see these carriers go away. Thanks for capturing a part of history.
