On January 1st, the Controller from Ottawa Tower observed sparks on Porter 263 coming off the left side of the plane during takeoff on Runway 32 from taxiway C.

17:02 [22:02Z]: WestJet 1272 on Ottawa Clearance Delivery requesting clearance to Orlando. After clearance was issued, the pilot from WestJet offered an potential explanation to the Controller on why they saw sparks coming off the plane.
