CNN reports the flight crew reported possible landing gear issues before landing. Was this in the audio anywhere?

I heard the same thing on CNN, everything was normal on the tower feed, I will try to find them on the approach as that is where I would think they would have made that known.

It appears that the KLGA NY Approach (EMPYR) feed has been down and I believe that is the feed that they would have broadcast a warning to, if they even did.

Not sure if this is from today's incident. Seems to be spliced together with video of a somewhat normal landing.

That isn't the real video. The interior is clearly not a Southwest aircraft. Just some idiot trying to get views.

CNN is now reporting that the FAA amended their statement to say that no issues were reported ahead of time.

I highly doubt they would be attempting to land on such a short runway with known gear issues, especially with JFK right down the road.

Also, not the cabin dividers, they are not in SWA planes.

I dobt they had any issues prior to the insident. First of all, another a/c came right behind, second that runway would not be chosen, as it is only 7001 feet. That length isnt even enough for the larger variants of the 737 series for normal operations, so it would be marginal for this 737-700. With any indications of landing gear problems, they would chose a much longer runway somewhere.

Possibly a structual issue and/or a hard hit for the nose wheel (by nose wheel landing or hard drop to the runway after touch down). The wheel must have been down and locked, as red lights and GPWS would have gone off if selecting landing flaps with not all three gears down and locked.
