Tuscaloosa AL and Philadelphia MS tornado path - Video

Tuscaloosa AL and Philadelphia MS tornado path viewed from airplane with ATC COMS

Watch video full screen for best viewing of tornado paths

Overflight of the Tuscaloosa Alabama and Philadelphia MS tornado paths.

Flight was conducted at 3500 MSL  Slant range viz was pretty lousy so I made the most with what I could.

Had another pilot with me during this flight which was helpful when it came to using my second camera for videoing the actual tornado path.

Tornado path segments begin about 4 minutes into the video.

Jackson Approach in this video.

Yikes... so sad to see such destruction, but it is humbling (especially for people like us who make a living flying in the weather). I once flew over a tornado scar but it was from a very weak EF1 and it was in rural farm land. Most damage it did was knock down some high-tension lines.
