Twice times twice at KSLC
« on: October 27, 2010, 09:09:09 PM »
It isn't on the clip, but DAL 1632 had a lightning strike on his 2nd go around causing nose cone damage (per FAA incident report), followed shortly later by another a/c being hit by another strike.
The DAL pilot was not too happy about the 2nd go.

Going around twice in a storm and getting hit by lighting to top it off. What a day for DAL 1632. There's an image of the flight path below. I think the other one was DAL 1239. After the landing, the tower mentioned they wanted to hear any news about the damage if there was any.
