US Air 4439 Emergency Landing at KCHO
« on: January 19, 2007, 06:38:43 PM »
It is in the archives on 1/18 about half way through 1600Z through 1630Z.  I would edit but I don't know how to do it.  It switches between tower and ground so you can hear the discussions with the emergency services.  The plane landed without incident.

That is me in 1090V, oddly enough, on my Private Pilot checkride.  Fortunately, I passed!

Flown by Fawell, my cross country flights were to lynchburg.  That looks like a tough one to fly into with the sloping runway.

When we went to Sun 'nFUn, that was our fuel stop of the way home.

GO check out the airnav.com picture of the field. I can't remember if i took it from the backseat or if the pilot up front took it (we were in a RV4).

It's fun, let's put it that way!
