VA01 Inaugural flight
« on: February 28, 2009, 02:56:23 AM »
this is the first audio file grab i have actually cut and uploaded. Now i hope that someone can help me and give me advise.

I am trying to find its actual departure from YSSY but can never actually work out GMT and DST times and all that stuff.

I have also only found a very limited amount of chatter at KLAX and it appears it is all ground chatter or taxi directions. I asume this is because the LAX feed scans a number of different channels.

Maybe someone can help me find more and give me some pointers.

be nice for my crap grab.

One thing we may want to note..

Most of us here on the pilot and controller side of things are used to using the ICAO code for the airline, rather than the IATA code. That's what is seen on the strips for each flight (if not the tail numbers/registration), while on the passenger/travel agent side of things, the IATA code will be used. We'd probably understand it better if VOZ was mentioned over VA; or DJ for that matter. :)
