Big jets does create wake turbulence.

Useful 'Caution Wake Turbulence'

United 10 was Boeing 752 [757-200], following Asiana 222, 744 [747-400] .

When I first became an ATC'er 10 miles was required behind a Jumbo to any non heavy. A Jumbo was a 747, L-1011, DC10 or C5.

In IMC conditions I had a Flying Tigers 747 at 10 mile final and a ANG F-4 at 30 mile final. It didn't work.
