Aircraft reported down at 17:42 into recording.

A LIGHT plane has crash-landed at Jandakot early today with a 68-year-old passenger taken to Fremantle Hospital.

The single-engine Piper Cherokee aircraft had just taken off when it experienced engine trouble and lost all power.

The plane, piloted by an 82-year-old man, crash-landed about 8.20am.

The pilot attempted to land the aircraft safely however it came down in bush within the Jandakot Airport boundaries.

There were three people on board, the pilot, a 70-year-old man and the 68-year-old who was taken by ambulance to Fremantle Hospital with possible back injuries.

The severity of his injuries is not known.

There was no fire after the crash, but the aircraft was badly damaged.

Police and emergency services responded along with on site emergency responders.
