I have registered and logged in but when I click on the link for the live ATC it just keeps on loading.  I can listen to the archives but no "live" ATC. Thanks

Dave
I am not able to listen in to any of the audio that I select. I hear a click, but nothing happens. I had no problem before the format was changed.  Call me stupid, I've been called worse, but just help me with a step by step procedure to get me back on audio track.  Thank you very much. huh

Larry-

Which audio?  The archives or the live audio?  There has been no format change.

Download Winamp from www.winamp.com - it will likely fix your problems.

Larry, what Internet Browser are you using?

I suspect that you are using Internet Explorer and somehow the registered application that is supposed to launch with MP3 file was changed and this new application that is trying to launch is having problems.

Try this:  Launch Windows Explorer.

1) Choose Tools > Folder Options ...

2) Click on the File Types tab

3) Scroll down the list of extensions until you reach "MP3" then single click on this entry with the left mouse button.

4)  Just below the list is the "Details for 'MP3' Extension box.  Look in this box and note what program is listed after the "Opens With:" entry.

What program is Windows showing there?  Windows Media Player or something else?

Hiya,

I just registered so that I could hear the LIVE Audio feeds here at Live ATC.net.

I downloaded WinAmp, and even though I've logged in to the discussion groups, it just goes round and round trying to load the mp3(?) file.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Although it says you must be logged in to hear the audio clips, does anyone know which audio clips Dave was talking about?
Thanks.

What Dave is talking about is the cut audio clips posted on this forum - that is users post audio clips that may find interesting/cool/funny for other users to enjoy. You do not need to register to listen to live audio feeds on the main site.

Thanks for the reply, cactushp.

I realize that the website of JFK tower is down, but we have 26 or more listeners here listening to the tower. And it's not only JFk, now that I come to think of it. I can't get audio from any link I've tried.

Would anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks.

try a different player, like itunes for example. players can be funny things at times, for example i cannot listen to feeds using the windows media player on my desktop whilst it happily plays them on my laptop.

failing that, if you have a firewall, check your settings. open it up (no filtering) and give the link a go.

And nope. you don't have to register to listen to any of the live streams.

My audio streams/clips prefer Windows Media Player (WMP). Real player  or WinAmp, on this XP machine, didn't have it.

Thanks!
