CRJ engine failure after takeoff
« on: June 14, 2011, 07:03:23 PM »
I was flying around Norfolk (ORF) the other day and overheard this emergency. It was Air Wisconsin flight 4085 from ORF to PHL on June 10th. The CRJ200 lost an engine at about 8,000ft on climb out and returned safely to runway 23. From what I understand it threw a compressor blade in the left engine.

The archive can be found between 1730-1800zulu but it is very cluttered due to the congestion of multiple frequencies at once. If anyone knows a way to clean this up it would be a very good recording. Don't know if that's possible.
