Power failure.  The PC is back up but did not come up all the way...our man on the ground in NY will be at the console after 5pm today working with me on it.

Oh poo...

Im in Fs2004 in a PMDG 747-400, gunna do a simple (if you can call a PMDG model simple (grin)) flight from KJFK-KBOS (N180GS IFR B744 KJFK MERIT ORW ORW3 KBOS FL190 FOB3HRS) and I wanted to follow atc live and the JFK feed is kaschnizzled...

Ill keep checking, plently of switches to throw and fmc to program before im ready for ground anyways Smiley

Feeds are up however it appears to be a very very week signal on them. For example you can only hear aircraft communication with static on 19.1 and not the Tower or communications on 23.9. Ground and JFK NY TRACON frequencies seem to have the same issues. I gather this is teething issues after the feed problems??? I hope everything will be back to normal soon.

Thanks to everyone involved for their hard work to get the JFK feeds up.

Ive had an active feed coming from kjfk_gnd for 20 min, but havent heard anything....

Everything was fine when they came back up - listened to each feed.  Preamp may have gotten bumped.  Checking.

Feeds are back - signals will be a little weaker than normal.  Preamp and/or preamp power supply issue.  New preamp won't be installed for at least another week.  Since there are eight receivers at this location there is considerable power splitter loss (which the preamp was designed to overcome).

Seem to still hear many or most aircraft on the ground, so it will suffice for now.

What kind of Amp does the feed have? I know scannermaster has 3 different types for airbands.

You're welcome Dave. Glad I can help. Once we get the preamplifier installed, it should fix the performance of the feeds. I seem to be getting most of the transmissions though.
