Will try and repair in the next few days, or maybe use a back up laptop.

Computer that usually provides the feed is smoked. T
Trying to cobble together one of many laptops I seem to collect that has a bad screen, and run it through an external monitor. Only two problems. Laptop runs on Vista ( always have had problems running Odd Atc on Vista), and it has no real "line in"........we'll see.

If anyone in the LAX area has a spare old Windows XP they are willing to donate, I am sure it would be most appreciated.

Thanks Dave. I tried over the weekend to get it going using a spare laptop , but between Vista and the weird sound card set-up, it was a no go.

Rob, so sorry to hear of your troubles, and the loss of equipment.
I know what you're saying about Vista... I have that system, and it seems like I'm always restarting, such a drag!!!
Best of luck in resolving the issue. Looking forward to hear the favorite LAX sound again

Sorry, no fix yet. There is a serious illness in the family right now, and my priority's have changed for the time being. Hope to get it back up soon.

Have you thought about taking the drive down Sepulveda to that Frys near Manhattan/Hermosa Beach? they've had some motherboard/CPU combos on sale for $80 - $90, NIB.

If the computer simply needs to be able to run Windows 2000 or XP and have a line or mic input on the sound card I think I might be able to get what you need to get the feed back up. It won't be a powerful computer by any means. Is the application used to feed the audio processor or memory intensive?

I'm pretty sure literally ANY computer can be used... what could possibly be so demanding about sending audio to a server?
