There is some serious construction going on a PHL. The construction has caused the whole feed setup to be relocated, and there is still construction going on around it. I am taking care of a relative for a couple days here in Philadelphia and will be visiting the site later today or tomorrow to work things out.

Update...bad news and good news.
I happened to be in Philadelphia taking care of a relative for a few days. Stopped by PHL to check on the system and to try and improve reception. The system is hosted at the airport, where there is a bunch of construction going on. The construction necessitated a move to a new (and very well shielded) computer room. This is not good for radio reception. We tried a variety of spots in the room and could not get more than noisy reception from the TRACON and barely any signals from the tower frequencies. Not surprising. We tried.
Because there is not much being heard, I am going to leave the feeds down for now.
Now the good news...
The feed system has a very good chance of being relocated to a *very* good spot on the airport. High off the ground and not in a shielded room. The new location should offer amazing reception, well beyond what we had before. But it could take two weeks or more before the staff can move it and get it connected to the network.
Stay tuned and hope for the best. We also have a very good chance of getting feeds on for PNE and TTN as well, soon.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the update, Dave. Sounds like "short term sacrifice, long term gain"! Will keep watching for the new-and-improved feed! Appreciate any updates when you have them.

The move may take longer than expected.
There is a chance it may not happen at all. If there is anyone close to PHL who might be willing to host the system, please contact me via PM or email. Trying to have a backup plan.

Bummer! I live in south Jersey about 10 miles from the airport and would love to host the feed but I do not get good reception of any of the ground based broadcasts (a/c on the ground, tower, etc.).
I really miss this feed also.

As do I (miss it). I grew up not far from KPHL (in South Philly).
I have some other resources I might be able to tap in Philly, but the PHL thing needs to play itself out.
In the meantime, sorry about the downtime, but it comes with the territory.
Anyone in South Philly or Southwest Philly on here? Or in a Center City high-rise?

Really disappointing! It's the only feed I listen to and follow the flights in and out of Philly (when I have the time) on an ATC chart. I live in Valley Forge - probably too far from the airport to help but would host depending on what was involved!

I miss PHL too... it's pretty cool to hear the feed on a rainy day while the regional jets fly over my house down to rwy17.
