I've attached two pictures from the EHRD feed setup. The airfield is about 14km to the north east from the receiver location.
The antenna is home made, dimensions provided by Martin
DK7ZB. The audio is fed from a Yaesu FT-857 to the USB SoundBlaster and is connected to a
Soekris net5501-70.
The Soekris is running FreeBSD 7.1 on a compact flash card. The image is generated with the NanoBSD script. DarkIce converts the raw audio to mp3 (using lame) and sends the stream to Icecast locally. A co-located server (Dell R200) relay's the stream on demand. And LiveATC relay's from the co-located server. So altough the stream between home and server is on-demand, it is always running because of the LiveATC archiving service..
