KCLT Setup

KCLT setup:
Feed system: p2-450
Feed radio: BC 895xlt

Reception fluctuates at times depending on conditions but overall I guess it's not too bad since the antenna is a 4ft. dipole stuffed in the attic of a townhouse. Due to antenna restrictions in the development I had to hide the antenna.  Soon I'll hide the antenna on the roof line and hopefully get some better reception.

The primary feed is KCLT, but occasionally you'll catch KJQF - Concord Regional.

How far are you from CLT? I flew into CLT last Thursday, did some scanning. Picked up a few Ramp freqs. But you might want to add in 126.15, it's Final for 23, but possibly all the runways.

I'm about 25 miles north KCLT, right in the flight path of 18 L/R.

I was just looking at the radio and you're right 126.15 isn't in there. I knew about that freq but failed to add that.  Thanks for the reminder!

I know there has to be many more, that Tracon has to have more than 6-7 sectors. We have 12 in Philly.... Keep searching, and I look forward to hearing the feed improve on reception  :D

Now that I've explored the other Tracon freqs in the area, it seems that if I put all those freqs on one broadcast, it will be too busy to really follow. Time to set up a new feed?

Glad you're enjoying the feed! I'd like to talk to you sometime about the local  mil-air ops.

Center traffic is too chatty and annoying

Love your set up.  I just moved to CLT from VPS.  Love your site and hearing the traffic above me head on Final for 36 L&R here in Ft. Mill.

I am most interested in CLT arrival traffic. Would you consider taking the Charlotte center and Atlanta Center freq. off line?  I get tired of hearing the MACEY approach Delta calls into CLT decending to Hartsfield.  They are of no interest to me and quite distracting.

Is it the MACEY stream? If so, that would be sweet.

just letting you last two guys know i can get Atlanta Center 128.8 and 124.425 up and running by the new year

Contact us as soon as you're ready...would love to have both of those up and running!  As to the MACEY arrival, I think 121.35 is Atlanta's northeast low altitude sector running the MACEY arrivals.
