Par Fm Filter
« on: March 05, 2011, 03:11:30 PM »
Hello To All

This is my first post on here and I very much enjoy ATC Live. I
just purchased a PAR FM Filter. When I get it in should I put in
before my amp or to the output of the amp to my Scanner ? I not
sure if it matters or not. Thanks for any help with this.

                                        Joe

Joe it's probably best to put it before your amp in case the FM broadcast signals are overloading your preamp and causing desense and rx intermod.  Try it both ways and pick the one that does the most good.

Agreed with Pat - typically you will probably get best results with the filter inserted *before* the preamp, though.
