A/C passed this freq ( 257.65 ) while working KDAB approach/departure. A new freq??

Usually, 257.65 MHz is the UHF equivalent of 126.40.  I don't think 126.40 is used in DAB, so it could indeed be a new frequency or a back-up.

Must have been a hand-off to another facility.  126.4 is not used here.

can anyone tell me what the frequency is that commercial traffic uses for like a air-air channel or something they can talk and bs on?  I use to have it and no longer have it, i always thought it was fun to listen to them talk.  thanks.

Good question. I know at KRNO that air-to-air is 123.3, but don't know if that is universal. give that a shot.

a good mickey mouse frequency is usually 123.45  or 122.75

You can usually hear some pretty funny stuff on these

Thanks.  I found 123.45 and it has had some activity on it this morning.  I will program 22.75 as well.
