"Never fly an aircraft after Bob worked on it without checking his pant pockets for loose parts, screws, etc."

Sorry, couldn't resist.

I guess they were just given the passengers an in flight look at what an enigine looks like.  I guess they wanted their passengers to have two views, one at the ground, and one at the engine!  lol

One man's guess:

Mechanic's post engine maintenance checklist:

1)  All tools accounted for..............          verify.
2)  Cowling closed and secure.........          check.
3)  Cowling screws........................        tighten.
4)  Cowling closed and secure.........  check again.

Mechanic's post engine maintenance checklist from that day:

1)  All tools accounted for............                verify.
2)  Cowling closed and, uh............
3)  get distracted and interrupt routine........  check.

I can just see a passenger saying, "Did I just see a screw fly off?"
