Sorry if this has already been discussed, but it has been along time since I've been back to this site.

Has KLAX Tower been changed over to So Cal Approach permanently?
Or is this a test or temporary thing?

There is a KLAX Tower feed and a SoCAL approach feed (reception only so-so on SoCal).

Welcome back Rob. Hope your travels are not as crazy as some other people I know. Anyhow, my buddy Brian took over the tower feed as you probably remember and it's so so. When the socal approach feed came up I messaged Dave wondering whether I should put it into my iTunes but he told me it wasn't worth it at this time. Were you thinking of helping out again? You certainly did have a prime location. You did a great job. Anyway, it's good to see you back, and take care.

Hi, Chananya.

Good to see you here on the forum. Instead of using iTunes, have you thought about using a program such as Scanner Live? SL will let you listen to up to 10 feeds at the same time. So if one feed is quiet you may be able to catch activity on another feed since it scans between them.

Hi Rob...thanks.  The SoCal feed is another provider, but it's in a poor location.  Controllers almost never heard.  If you do come back it would be good to have some SoCal instead of Tower, which is already covered.

Just FYI only.  There was a United with a stuck nosegear on Monday, was listening to the archives, and not hearing the tower side on the south frequency only.  Just heads up only. THANKS FOR THE FEED!
